In response to numerous community complaints, authorities led by the Suffolk County Police Department conducted an investigation at Li Foot Spa in Commack, located at 1041A Jericho Turnpike at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 15.
The Smithtown Fire Marshal issued five violations for fire code offenses.
Yongli Zhang, age 44, and Hong Li, age 43, both of Flushing, Queens, were each charged with:
- Prostitution,
- Unauthorized practice of a profession.
They are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court on Thursday, May 5.
The operation was conducted by:
- Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers,
- Fourth Squad detectives, Fourth Precinct Anticrime,
- Fourth Precinct Community Support Unit,
- Property Section officers,
- Smithtown Public Safety/Fire Marshal.
